Malia is a something of a global nomad, who after time living and travelling extensively across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, is proud to call Durango home.

A graduate of Smith College (BA - Economics) and the London School of Economics (MSc - Local Economic Development), Malia ran a research and communications company in Kurdistan (northern Iraq) from 2013-2018, specializing in social and political research. However, after having her son, Oliver, decided it was time to settle somewhere with a good quality of life. Malia and her husband James shopped for places to call home and fell in love with Durango for the slower pace, outdoor lifestyle and vibrant community. Having travelled so many places, she understood how special La Plata County is!

Malia brings her strong professionalism, diligence, and communication to her real estate
relationships, and enjoys working with clients to help them fulfil their life goals. She feels
privileged to call Durango home and loves helping other people find their happy place here.

Malia can be found in their spare time hiking, biking, and generally enjoying the outdoors with her husband, James, and their two children.
